To ensure smooth operation, Identity V will issue a hotfix on Thursday at 08:00 (UTC+8).
This week's maintenance will be replaced by a hotfix. The hotfix will begin on March 26, 2026, at 08:00 (UTC+8), during which most of the game modes and features will remain available, including but not limited to: Quick Match, Custom Mode, Events, and Logic Path. (Note: The entrance to Ranked Match will be closed during the hotfix. However, Ranked Matches already in progress will not be affected.)
After 10:30 (UTC+8), players will have to exit the game to receive the latest patch. All game modes will be back online once the latest patch is installed (may be postponed should there be any issues).
After 11:00 (UTC+8), players who haven't installed the latest patch will be forced out of the server, and they will be able to play again after restarting the game client (may be postponed should there be any issues).

April Fool's Day Mode
About
April Fool's Day Mode is a limited-time mode based on standard gameplay, featuring size-changing characters, escaping Cipher Machines and Rocket Chairs, and Mimic Chests. Enjoy some extra fun during this special holiday event.
Survivors
Enlarge
When a Survivor restrains the Hunter for a time, chases a Cipher Machine, or reaches a certain Decoding Progress, they will grow larger.
While enlarged, Survivors drop pallets faster. If they stun the Hunter with a pallet or use a control-type ability, the Hunter remains stunned or controlled longer, but the Survivor's Vaulting Speed and Pallet-dropping Speed are reduced.
Shrink
When a Survivor is hit, uses an Item Chest, or fails a calibration, they will shrink.
While smaller, Survivors drop pallets more slowly. When stunning the Hunter with a pallet, the stun duration is shorter, but the Survivor's Vaulting Speed and Pallet-dropping Speed increase. At the smallest size, Survivors can pass directly through dropped pallets.
Hunters
Enlarge
When the Hunter hits a Survivor or places one on a Rocket Chair, the Hunter grows larger.
While enlarged, the Hunter's attack range increases, pallet-breaking is faster, and control effects last for a shorter time, but Vaulting Speed is reduced.
Shrink
If the Hunter fails to hit any Survivors or is controlled by them for a certain duration, the Hunter will shrink.
While smaller, the Hunter's attack range is reduced, and pallet-breaking is slower, but Vaulting Speed increases. At the smallest size, Hunters can vault directly over dropped pallets
Cipher Machine
Cipher Machines will now try to escape. These Cipher Machines flee when Survivors get close. As Survivors chase them, the machines grow larger, and their Decoding Progress increases. Once Decoding Progress reaches a certain threshold, the Cipher Machine stops escaping.
Rocket Chair
Whenever a Survivor is downed, the Rocket Chair will become chaseable. Both Survivors and the Hunter can chase the Rocket Chair. When it approaches a downed Survivor, it will automatically pick them up.
When "Undead" is the Hunter, Rocket Chairs near a knocked-down Survivor will transform into the "Undead," and that Survivor cannot leave the area.
Item Chest
Some Item Chests turn into Mimic Chests. These Mimics will bite any Survivor who tries to take the item, so watch out.

Truth & Inference Update
The Oath of the "Betrayers" story returns. After Lady Truth's friend Ann was adopted by art dealers and sent to Lonesome Moon School for Girls, Ann's roommate, "Hebe," sent a letter claiming Ann was cursed and had fallen into madness. Lady Truth goes to the school to investigate.

Experience Improvements
Weekly Entertainment rotation now recommends three modes based on Visitors' Recently Played. If fewer than three are available, other Casual Modes will be rotated in.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Mercenary did not correctly accumulate "Cueist's" Inertia stacks when entering the injured state due to delayed Fear activation while decoding a Cipher Machine.
Fixed an issue where the Coordinator's Costume "Ballad of the Emerald Lark" could not trigger its special idle animation in the Room.
Fixed an issue where some skill visual effects of the Hell Ember - Family Bond accessory were displayed with abnormal layering.
Fixed an issue where the Journalist’s Illusion model displayed abnormally in certain situations.
Fixed an issue where Survivors did not gain the cobweb effect when passing through cobwebs while being knocked back by the "Little Girl"'s Memory Fragment.
Fixed an issue where the First Officer behaved abnormally after triggering the "Disciple"'s control effect.
Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where loading sound effects could behave abnormally when a Janitor was present in the match.
