The night before Little New Year, Chinatown still hasn't quite caught the "Chinese New Year buzz." People go about their daily business. Some click away on their abacuses, some shape pottery, and others sweep the street in front of their homes, half out of habit, half to welcome relatives and friends they haven't seen in a year. A newcomer to Chinatown has been entrusted with hosting a Lantern Fair on Chinese New Year's Eve. But with residents used to seeing lanterns year-round, they hardly look up, busy with their own work. How to bring fresh excitement and festive spirit to the Lantern Fair—that's the challenge facing the Lantern Keeper. The "Colors of Light, Hearts Unite" Chinese New Year event holds two phases: "Silken Lanterns" and "Lights of Celebration" phases, which will gradually open on February 12 and February 16.
I. Lantern Fair
The Lantern Fair is about to begin, and everyone in Chinatown has prepared plenty of stalls, attractions, and lantern decorations, waiting for you to design the layout of the fair. The first time you “share” your Lantern Fair layout design, you’ll receive a reward: [Sticker] New Year Greetings.

Complete daily check-ins by drawing Graffiti on the Chinese New Year Calendar.

III. Lantern Tales
1. Story content will unlock gradually over eight days. Completing each day's story will reward you with 20 Lantern Fair Snacks.
IV. Lantern Crafting
1. Papercraft Lanterns are made of six paper panels, a lantern frame, and a tassel. In "Edit Paper-cut," you can customize each panel by moving and resizing elements and selecting colors for the frame and tassel. Quick Edit allows "Classic Design" instant creation or "Design Code" to import other players' designs.
2. Once complete, select "Upload" to display your work in the Lantern Pavilion. Uploading counts as sharing your Design Code. You can view others' designs in the Lobby, like them, or copy their code.
3. Saved Papercraft Lantern can be claimed in "Custom Furniture" as a decor item. With different-colored wicks, you can change the lantern's lighting. Before the event ends, you can reclaim Custom Furniture freely.
4. Your first successful crafting each day rewards 10 Lantern Fair Snacks.
V. Event Shop
1. During the event, completing matches will earn up to 20 Lantern Fair Snacks per day. The number gained depends on the match type and outcome. Players who fail to meet the minimum requirements will not receive rewards.
2. Spend Lantern Fair Snacks in the Event Shop to redeem A-rarity Costume Unlock Cards, Survivor General Accessory "Clip-Clop," B-rarity Costume "Mercenary - Lantern Keeper," Stickers, Emotes, and more

The "New Year Lanterns" Public Map is hosting a Lantern Fair from February 15 to 23, 2026
1. Red Packet Ambassadors appear randomly in each room. Greet them to get Red Packets. Open them for varying amounts of Gold Ingots.
2. Parade Floats appear at set times. Ride for a tour or join the parade and dance.

Public Map Optimizations
A new list view for Emotes and Graffiti has been added to the Public Map and Rooms. You can switch between wheel mode and list mode in the Emote interface. List mode displays all Emotes and Graffiti you own.
Added a new [Display Template] feature: After finding a great photo spot in the Public Map, you can save your camera settings as a template and upload or share them with other visitors.
Added a new [Voice Chat Team] feature: In the Public Map, you can create a private voice channel for your team, allowing you to chat with friends without being heard by other visitors.
Optimized Interactive Actions trigger rules. In the Public Map and Rooms, you no longer need to stand still to activate them. You can now manually initiate Interactive Actions, and other visitors can respond.
Chinese New Year Mode
The Chinese New Year Mode builds on the standard 1v4 matches by introducing festive abilities such as Dragon Dance, Firecracker, and Couplet, adding a vibrant twist to gameplay.
Special Abilities
Dragon Dance
Dragon Dance is a Survivor ability.
Click the ability button to become the Dragon Head and gain Dragon Dash. Dragon Dash lets you dash forward a short distance. If a teammate is nearby, you can dash directly to them. If the teammate is also performing Dragon Dance, the two of you link together as Dragon Body or Dragon Tail.
While linked, your Movement Speed and Interaction Speed match that of the Dragon Head. The Dragon Head controls movement, vaulting over pallets or windows, and performing Dragon Dash, while the Dragon Tail controls dropping pallets. Movement Speed, Vaulting Speed, and Dragon Dash increase with the number of Survivors linked.
When more than two Survivors are linked, Dragon Body players near the tail gain the Tail Sweep ability, which whips the tail in a chosen direction to knock back the Hunter. If the Hunter is knocked into an obstacle, they will be stunned.
Linked Survivors can disconnect from the front or rear: Disconnecting from the front is instant. Disconnecting from the rear transfers movement control to the Dragon Tail. A notification will appear, and the link will disconnect after a 2-second delay. Manually disconnecting temporarily increases the rear Survivor's Movement Speed. Links will break immediately if the player is knocked down or hit by certain control effects.
Firecracker
Firecracker is a Hunter ability.
Hunters can click or hold to aim and throw firecrackers at a target location. Firecrackers explode on landing, blasting all characters in range away from the center.
Charging increases the blast radius and power by up to three levels.
Explosions from firecrackers will break Dragon Dance links.
Cannot use Firecracker near a Rocket Chair with a Survivor on it.
Couplet
At the start of the game, each player receives one Couplet.
Players can go to a "Door" to place their Couplet, granting special effects based on their type.
Survivor Couplet Effects:
Warding Couplet: Knocks back the Hunter in the opposite direction when they pass through.
Longevity Couplet: Grants the Survivor a 5-second shield when passing through.
Hunter Couplet Effects:

After using a Couplet, players may earn an extra one when a Survivor decodes a Cipher Machine, when a Survivor is rescued from a Rocket Chair, or when a Hunter places a Survivor on a Rocket Chair (In matches with the "Undead," awarded when the Survivor is knocked down).

Four new roles will be added to Copycat 2.0 and Masquerade: Patrol (Detectives), Critic (Detectives), Conductor (Copycats), and Director (Mystery Guests).
Patrol
[Patrol] Detectives
A Patrol keeps watch year-round with their lantern and knows the area's layout and daily routines inside out.
Ability: The Patrol can use their skill to reveal the location of all surviving Contestants.
Victory Conditions: Complete 55 tasks or eliminate all Copycats.
Critic
[Critic] Detectives
Sharp-tongued and quick-witted, the Critic wields words and ideas as their sharpest weapons.
Ability: During Emergency Meetings, the Critic accumulates votes received from other Contestants. Once you reach a certain number of votes, you gain the ability to eliminate one Contestant.
Victory Conditions: Complete 55 tasks or eliminate all Copycats.
Conductor
[Conductor] Copycats
Commanding the orchestra, the Conductor turns sheet music into a mesmerizing show.
Ability: The Conductor can set up a circular stage anywhere. Enemy Contestants inside are dazed. Leaving the area removes the effect.
Daze: Contestants experience blurred vision, jumbled models and numbers, and can hear only the Conductor's music.
Victory Conditions: Eliminate other Contestants to gain a voting advantage and prevent them from completing the [Emergency Event: Close Valve] to secure victory.
Director
[Director] Mystery Guests
If this were a movie, each participant would have an ending orchestrated by the Director.
Ability: The Director begins without the ability to eliminate Contestants. Once all Copycats are eliminated, the Director gains that ability. During Emergency Meetings, the Director can return to the game scene and, following prompts, eliminate Contestant images. If the target is correct, that Contestant is truly eliminated; if wrong, the Director cannot return to the scene for the rest of the meeting. If the Director eliminates 2 Contestants, or if no Copycats survive and the remaining Contestants are at or below 3, the finale begins. Finale: Lasts 65/75 seconds, during which no meetings can be called, the Director becomes hidden, elimination ability has no cooldown, and Movement Speed is increased. If any Contestant other than the Director survives when the finale ends, the Director is eliminated.
Victory Condition: Eliminate all Contestants.
Chinese New Year Mode
During the Chinese New Year, [Fortune's Favor] will participate in the Copycat game. Contestants can interact with Fortune's Favor to send blessings to other Contestants. Contestants who receive blessings will get Red Packets containing Logic Points as a gift
Duo Hunters
Increased the chips Hunters earn from chasing Survivors, but lowered the maximum chips from this action from 12,000 to 9,000.
Extended the settlement time for bonus points from chasing and being chased from 10 seconds to 20 seconds.
Reduced the chips Survivors earn from Co-op Decoding.
Adjusted the Doctor's bonus points.

Fixed an issue where the "Escapologist" would display the "Your location has been exposed" prompt when within the range of both the Thurible and the Peeper, even without being exposed.
Fixed an issue in Duo Hunters where, after The Shadow used up a Bogus Bag, purchasing another item would cause a nonexistent Bogus Bag to be displayed.
Fixed an issue in Blackjack mode where Hell Ember's Awaken ability did not grant Chips when it hit a Survivor.
